CHASEN "KANKYUAN" - BAMBOO WHISK (BLACK)

This is a special straight shaped CHASEN bamboo whisk, cut out of black bamboo.
This shape is unique to the school Mushakoji senke 武者小路千家 from Kyoto, one of the three schools having direct lineage from Sen no Rikyu.
 
All our bamboo whisks are made by hand by artisans in the famous craft town called Takayama in NARA Prefecture.
 
This beautiful whisk is of excellent quality, an exquisite piece of artisan work, made for teas that are typically less foamy. The straight shape of the bristles will naturally round themselves after using it.

Due to limited supplies, we limit this item to one per order. 
 
Washing instructions: rinse gently with lukewarm water after use. Let it dry naturally. Do not rub or use detergent on the whisk.
